Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 10, 2026

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information SponsorPay collects, why we collect it, and how we protect and use it.

1. Who We Are and Scope of This Policy

SponsorPay operates a technology platform that connects sponsors and retail stores to enable funded discounts and gift cards at checkout. This Privacy Policy describes how SponsorPay collects, uses, and shares information in connection with that platform.

By using the SponsorPay platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy and agree to the practices described herein. SponsorPay is a platform intermediary only, and is not responsible for the privacy practices of any sponsor, store, or third-party service provider.

2. Information We Collect

Account information. Name, organization name, email address, and phone number provided at account setup, used solely to operate your account.

Payment information. Sponsor payment details are processed by our third-party payment processor. SponsorPay does not store full card numbers — only limited metadata (e.g. last four digits, expiry) for display.

Transaction data. All redemption events, wallet debits and credits, payout records, and ledger entries generated through platform use. SponsorPay records what is reported and does not independently verify it.

API and POS usage data. Logs of API requests including the key used, endpoints called, timestamps, and response codes — used for security monitoring, debugging, and billing reconciliation.

Communications. Records of messages you send us through the contact form, retained to support your inquiry.

3. How We Use Information

We use information solely to operate the SponsorPay platform: processing redemptions, managing wallet balances, issuing payouts, generating reports, detecting fraud, and responding to support requests.

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, marketing to third parties, or any purpose unrelated to platform operations.

4. Information Sharing

SponsorPay does not sell personal data. We share information only as necessary to operate the platform: with payment processors for wallet funding and store payouts; with cloud infrastructure providers that host the platform; with professional advisors when required for legal or compliance purposes; and with law enforcement or regulatory authorities when required by valid legal process.

5. Sponsor-Provided Recipient Data

When a sponsor assigns a coupon to a recipient, the sponsor may provide a name and phone number for that person. Sponsors are solely responsible for ensuring they have a lawful basis — including any required consent — for sharing that information with SponsorPay.

SponsorPay stores this data only to support the verification and tracking functions configured by the sponsor, and is not responsible for the accuracy of recipient data provided by sponsors.

6. Data Retention

Account information is retained for as long as the account is active and for a reasonable period after closure. Transaction records are retained for at least five years to support financial reconciliation and compliance requirements. SponsorPay reserves the right to delete any data at any time, subject to applicable legal obligations.

7. Security — No Guarantee

SponsorPay implements reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information in its control. However, no security system is impenetrable, and SponsorPay does not guarantee that data will be secure against all unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

YOU USE THE PLATFORM AND PROVIDE INFORMATION AT YOUR OWN RISK. You are responsible for securing your login credentials and API keys. A compromised key or account must be revoked immediately.

8. Cookies and Analytics

The SponsorPay website and portals may use cookies and similar technologies to maintain sessions and analyze aggregate usage patterns. Analytics data is not linked to individually identifiable users. You may control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may impair portal functionality.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements. To make a request, use the contact form. Rights requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis and may be subject to limitations based on legal obligations.

10. Limitation of Liability for Privacy Matters

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SPONSORPAY IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM ANY PRIVACY INCIDENT, DATA BREACH, UNAUTHORIZED DISCLOSURE, OR MISUSE OF DATA — WHETHER CAUSED BY SPONSORPAY, A THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDER, A USER OF THE PLATFORM, OR ANY OTHER PARTY.

11. Changes to This Policy

SponsorPay may update this Privacy Policy at any time by revising the date at the top of this page. It is your responsibility to review this policy periodically. Continued use after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

12. Contact

For privacy questions or data requests, please use the contact form. You may also want to review our Terms of Service.
